Design 3600 Pickup for purchase. General Motors' first major
redesign post-WWII, the Advance Design series was billed as a
bigger, stronger, and sleeker design. During this generation of
trucks from 1947-1955, the Chevrolet trucks were #1 in sales. These
classic pickups got America back working again, and for many they
represent memories of Grandpa's reliable workhorse.
The 1949 Chevrolet 3600 Pick Up offered here is powered by its 216
CID inline six cylinder engine, 4 speed manual transmission and
rear wheel drive. The truck has been the recipient of a recent
restoration to include frame, body and interior. All the trim was
removed and refurbished or replaced accordingly, the wood bed has
been replaced and the truck features excellent fit and finish. The
6 volt system has been upgraded to 12 volt and also upgraded with a
Pertonix ignition.
Mechanically, the truck runs and drives out very well, like it did
when it rolled off the showroom in 1949. Classic trucks are red hot
and this 1949 Chevy is ready for immediate enjoyment.
