Vehicle Description
Built for only thirteen years, the Chevelle sure made its mark for
GM as one of the brands best selling cars. In fact, in 1969 it was
billed as "Americas most popular mid-size car". Yes, by todays
standards it's a large automobile but then it was categorized as a
mid-size. The Chevelle was around during the Muscle Car Era and
proved to be no slouch when it came the heavy hitters of the day.
The second-generation of Chevelles, built from 1968-1972 were all
new for the year with a rounded body vs. the square design of the
earlier cars. It also was the time that Chevrolet were producing
the most powerful cars of the times.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle
Malibu. It is powered by a fresh 402 V8 built to a 407 and is
paired with a T10 4 speed manual transmission. According to the
owner the transmission was also rebuilt. The rear end is a 308 10
bolt. Other highlights include new driveshaft, new aluminum
radiator with electric cooling fans, new front disc brake
conversion, cowl hood, headers, power brakes and power steering,
tachometer, Hurst shifter, Cragar chrome wheels, Edelbrock intake
