Vehicle Description
This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been upgraded with a show-worthy
glow everywhere, including the engine bay! And with the custom
interior, powerful V8, upgraded suspension, and four-wheel disc
brakes, this hardtop is an extra-bold cruiser that's ready to be
shown off everywhere.
This car is striking a balance between iconic classic and all-out
hot rod, and the paint starts off this impression perfectly. The
Sunset Pearl paint is a modern application with a terrific metallic
glow. So you get both depth and radiance every time the sunshine
finds the sheet metal. It will attract attention from blocks away
in the daytime, and you'll even probably think it's neon at night.
And when the paint is this radiant, you know that they also
invested correctly to make sure the iconic brightwork matches its
glimmer. So even on a stunning body like this, you still take note
of hallmark fan-style tailfin, golden emblems special to these
premium coupes, the trim that highlight the pillarless hardtop, and
the bumper and grille combo that makes the '57 Bel Air so special.
And because this one loves to be a show-worthy classic with an
aggressive side, they perfectly matched these with polished Cragar
SS wheels that have an extra meaty rear set for an extra
intimidating stance.
The interior was redone with an eye for being thoughtful and
comfortable. For example, we love the orange, but it would be too
bold for the full treatment inside. So instead they gave you a
tasteful tan cloth upholstery, and the exterior orange returns as a
distinctive accenting in an ostrich texture on the custom seats and
door panels. It's part of a full package that's so fresh and
attractive that you'll roll down all the windows on this pillarless
hardtop so that people will always get a good look inside. Of
course, the best view is always from behind the wheel. This is set
up to be a driver's classic with front bucket seats, a custom
steering wheel on a tilt column, a full AutoMeter gauge package,
and a B&M Quick Silver floor shifter. So while this has an
upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input, you really know your
favorite soundtrack begins under the hood.
The exterior's metallic orange returns under the hood on the smooth
inner walls, and it combines with all the polish on the motor for a
show-ready presentation. And a motor like this is worth putting on
display. The Tri-Fives launched the small block era at Chevrolet,
but they were never offered anything nearly as potent as this. It's
a 350 cubic-inch V8 with double-hump heads. There's a full
Edelbrock suite that includes a four-barrel carburetor, EPS intake,
finned valve covers, and a matching air grabber. It exhales with
added power and authority as long tube headers feed the H-pipe dual
exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. It's supported by the right
pieces, like an MSD distributor and an aluminum radiator with an
electric fan. As you look underneath, you'll spot some terrific
upgrades for a driver's classic, like the tubular A-arm front
suspension and four-wheel power disc brakes. Plus, there's a
three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and deep tread
on the modern tires for an easy all-around driver.
