Low mileage, terrific paperwork, and a pristine presentation all
make this 1986 Chevrolet Corvette an awesome collector car. So it's
amazing this level of appeal is also so affordable.
When you're looking for a collector Corvette, you're on the hunt
for low mileage and a ton of originality. That's why you want to
take a closer look at this one. We're told this is a one-owner car,
and the level of care really shows. The panels continue to have a
nice fit to show off the C4's sharp angles, and the factory paint
has a terrific gloss. In fact, we're glad to see that this was done
in white, because what looked upper-class when new, now really
helps to make this a white knight of preservation. And with less
than 11,000 miles on the odometer, we'd put more on the clock just
by taking this from our showroom on a Myrtle Beach vacation once a
year! So you know this was only used for very special
occasions.
The gray cloth interior has the same exceptional preservation, and
the color harmonizes nicely with the exterior white so well that
you'll love showcasing the full package with the targa roof out.
But also you're going to love driving it. There's something special
about turning the key and watching the digital gauge package come
to life. After all, there is no cooler piece of 1980s tech, and so
all enthusiasts look for ones as crisp and correct as this one. In
fact, the whole interior presentation has everything a survivor
enthusiast could want. That's because it's loaded with features
like power seats, power windows, power locks, and provisions for
air conditioning (it will need servicing and/or a recharge to blow
cold.) And the stereo is the optional AM/FM/cassette stereo by
Bose. So while this is a low-mileage survivor, it also is a great
classic to cruise all year long.
The C4 was always meant to showcase its motor. After all, few
factory vehicles will let you tilt the whole front end forward to
give everyone a clear view of the fuel-injected V8. On a vehicle
that has been so original thus far, you'll be happy to see such a
stock L98 350 cubic-inch motor. Everything is correctly presented,
right down to the belt diagram still attached to the front cowl.
And so this is believed to be the original powerhouse. Not only
were these motors one of the bright spots in the horsepower-zapped
'80s, but it produces the kind of head-snapping torque that made
you the first one off the line. That's why we're so excited about
this car. Its comprehensive preservation makes it an
ultra-desirable collectible, and it's also still a great driver.
With a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, four-wheel
disc brakes, power steering, cruise control, and a fully
independent suspension, this Corvette still has all the right
features to be a great weekend getaway machine.
You can tell this has been a cherished car by the level of
paperwork and accessories. This includes the owner's manual packet
in its Corvette folder, a reproduction window sticker, reproduction
buildsheet, sill plate covers, and even a 1986 Corvette hat. You
have an opportunity at a special low-mileage C4. So if you know how
to treat a classic with true respect, then you should be the one to
write this car's next chapter. Call now!
