Vehicle Description
This 1951 Chevrolet Deluxe is the ideal mixture of period-correct
presentation and all the right upgrades. That's how you get a
cruiser style on the outside but upgrades like a comfy suspension
and proper V8 power.
This two-door sedan makes a great first impression, and that's
because of all the details. The windshield sun visor, side rain
guards, swan hood ornament, amber fog lights, curb feelers,
blue-dot taillights, bright dual-exhaust tips, and cross-bar
hubcaps are pure vintage cruiser fun. The green paint has a cool
style with the right aged-in look. It's not perfect, but the full
pinstriping package really set it apart to make this feel like it's
a street machine that earned its cred back in the day. And there's
just something special about a 1950s machine with clean and
complete chrome.
More of the vintage and upgraded style continues inside. The
two-tone on the seats is a great classic look, and the door panels
and carpeting are done to coordinate. The art deco dash, two-piece
windshield, and steering wheel all add to this vintage atmosphere.
But there are also the right additions, including provisions for
air conditioning (it will need servicing to function again.) Plus,
the B&M shifter auxiliary gauge trio and Moon tach are all
there to let you know this is a better driver's car.
The engine bay has been upgraded with a 350 cubic-inch crate V8. It
has the right pieces, like a four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock
Performer intake, Holley finned valve covers, and a full dual
exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. It's a hardy setup that's just a
tune-up away from being an all-weekend cruiser. In fact, you know
it was built to be a true driver's classic with features like the
upgraded A-arm front suspension. Add in the three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes, and it makes
for a great classic cruiser.
We love this style of Chevy for the fastback appearance, and this
example was maximized for driver fun. So don't miss this custom
