For Sale: 2006 Subaru WRX in Concord, North Carolina
You already know us for vintage cars, but we love the future
classics, too. That's why this 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI is a
speedy favorite in our building. It's the turbocharged, six-speed,
and all-wheel drive sedan that was a fun machine from day one. So
you just know it's only a matter of time before it joins the ranks
of the new class of Japanese classics.
For many of us out there, this is the WRX to own. This was one of
the final years of the first generation offered in America. That
means a nice mix of history while still benefiting from the best of
the evolution. The odometer is believed to reflect the full actual
mileage, and that's rather low for its age. That level of less use
combines with good care to deliver quality body lines. It's also
why the black paint is believed to be original, and it's clean,
complete, and has a nice gloss in the sunshine. Subaru
distinguished the WRX with wide flared fenders, a full lower body
kit, and the hallmark hood scoop. And the bold red STI badges look
terrific against the black paint. But these are very individual
cars, and so it's always great to see a tasteful custom style. This
includes upgraded headlights, taillights, and dual spoilers on the
rear. Plus, the gold 18-inch wheels are a nod to the world-beating
Imprezas on the map.
Subaru created quite an impressive interior. The black and blue are
tastefully distinct as the two-tone is intertwined on the seats,
door panels, and even the carpeting. One of the reasons why the WRX
is popular for more than just its power is that it also still gives
you some impressive practicality. It's a loaded car with power
windows, power locks, power mirrors, keyless entry, dual front
airbags, an AM/FM/CD stereo, cruise control, power steering, ABS,
and cold-blowing air conditioning. The trunk has room for real
cargo, and the back seat can carry extra passengers, but the moment
you feel how those special STI front racing seats hug your body,
you know this is a true driver's car. The leather-wrapped sports
steering wheel, upgraded pedals, grippy shifter, and full gauges
glowing red are all there to get your enthusiast's heart pumping
faster.
The heart of what makes the WRX STI amazing is 2.5-liter under the
hood. This dual overhead camshaft flat-four has been turbocharged
and intercooled to be one of the most robust and fun motors around.
And the STI version gave you the added control of a six-speed
manual transmission. And speaking of control, the other hallmark of
the WRX STI is having an all-wheel-drive system that's been honed
on the world's best rally circuits. You even get to dial in your
level of suspension with a control in the center console. Add in a
Brembo four-wheel disc brake package with drilled & slotted rotors,
and you have the ultimate in power and control in one vehicle.
Complete with owner's manual packet, this Impreza WRX STI is a
future classic that's already being appreciated in the modern
world. So now's your time to get it at an affordable price. Call
