This 1987 Land Rover 88 is a left-hand-drive example that was built under license by Land Rover Santana S.A. in Spain and was acquired us in 2021. The truck is finished in beige, and power is provided by a 2.25-liter diesel inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Features include a removable hardtop, inward-facing rear jump seats, power steering, and a Moto-Lita steering wheel.
Maintenance performed in preparation of the sale included servicing the braking system and front axle, replacing the valve cover gasket, and changing fluids.
The aluminum body panels are said to have been refinished 10 years ago, while a front fender was reportedly repainted in 2017 to alleviate a scratch. The removable hardtop features sliding side and curved roof windows.
Body-colored 16″ steel wheels wear 205/80 Goodride Radial SL369 A/T tires, and a matching spare is mounted to the single-hinged rear door. The truck is equipped with front disc brakes and power steering. The braking system was refreshed by the selling dealer with rear shows, as well as front pads and rotors.
The left-hand-drive cab features a split front bench seat upholstered in black vinyl as well as inward-facing jump seats in the cargo area. Vinyl mats cover the floors in both compartments.
A leather-wrapped Moto-Lita steering wheel frames Veglia-Bressel instruments including a 150-km/h speedometer. The five-digit odometer is believed to have rolled over once and shows 38k kilometers (~24k miles).
The 2.25-liter diesel inline-four sends drives all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Fluid changes for the engine, cooling system, transmission, transfer case, and axles are said to have been carried out in preparation for the sale. The valve cover gasket was replaced by the selling dealer.
