A beautiful 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 that is a mostly original paint,
original interior, original chrome and bright work and even though
the title is exempt the mileage is believed to be just 40k actual
miles!! It was sold new to a lady in Iowa and was kept many years
then sold to a second owner that also had it for several years. The
third owner from Georgia, who I have talked to, knows the car very
well and said when he owned it it had the original six cylinder
engine and three speed manual transmission. He kept it many years
in his basement garage and then sold it to another fellow from
Georgia who was the one that expertly converted it to it's current
state which replicates the Tasca Ford 1962 Galaxie that won so many
races back in the day! It is equipped with a period correct
406/405hp Tri-Power motor and Four speed manual transmission. This
car was beautifully done and just looks so fresh and correct. There
are a few thin spots in the original paint that I have tried to
show in the photos but they are minor and do not detract from the
car!! It runs and drives great and the rust free body is just
beautiful. The interior is beautiful and original!! We just
purchased it from the estate of the fifth owner that purchased it
from the gentleman that did the conversion and had it in a large
Ford collection. This is a no excuses example and needs nothing to
drive, show and enjoy!!!
