Vehicle Description
1972 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE "MALIBU" CONVERTIBLE
We just re-acquired (bought back) this beautiful Chevelle
Convertible from a very good repeat customer and now friend who
reluctantly decided to sell off some of his collection to start
downsizing his life. He told us that this car was an absolute joy
to own. He said it runs and drives incredibly well and it turned
heads everywhere he went. We initially bought this car out of
southwest Florida from a longtime owner who told us that he had the
car professionally repainted/restored a few years ago including
rebuilding the engine ,trans and rear as well as most of it's
mechanical systems too like the steering, suspension, brakes and
exhaust and by our inspection it all seems to be true. It is not
brand new but is not old or worn out looking either. The body is
very straight, solid and clean including the floors and trunk and
the Cranberry Red with white stripes paint is absolutely gorgeous.
We just cut, buffed and polished it to a deep luster and brilliant
show car shine. The white power convertible top is also in like new
condition as well as the matching white bucket seat with factory
console interior. It is all VERY-VERY NICE !! Powered by a strong
running, non-matching numbers 350 c.i. small block that has an
aggressive sounding cam, an aluminum intake w/4bbl. carb, HEI
ignition and headers w/ Flow Master dual exhaust. It is backed up
by a crisp shifting TH-350 automatic transmission and a 10 bolt
posi-traction rear. Other features and upgrades include cold
factory air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes (front
only) big Hotchkis sway bars front & rear, 18" US 615 alloy wheels
with Nitto 555 tires, AM-FM stereo and more !!
450,842 Chevelle Malibu's were built in 1972 and only 4853 or about
1% were convertibles which makes this car pretty rare and seldom
seen available for sale. DON'T MISS IT !!
