We just acquired this P.H.S. documented, real "242" 1966 Pontiac
GTO from a local collector who decided it is time to start
downsizing his life and the toys are always the first to go. We
were told that this car was professionally restored some years ago
but looks as good now as it did then. That it has been stored in a
climate controlled garage and used very seldom. All we know for
sure is that she looks, runs & drives super nice! CHECK IT OUT
!!
The body is very straight, solid and clean including the floors,
trunk & frame and the 2 stage base/clear paint is show quality with
a deep luster and show car shine. The original paint code is "V"
"Mission Beige" but I think this color is about a shade or two
darker more like code "T Martinique Bronze Poly" but either way it
is a classic 1960's color with that classic 60's look especially
with it's correct Black vinyl top. The chrome trim, weather
stripping and glass are all in very nice condition as well as the
gold bucket seat interior with console and shifter. VERY, VERY NICE
!! Power comes from a strong running 1969 400 c.i.d.- 350 h.p. "YS"
engine that is equipped with a fresh rebuilt & correct 1966
Tri-Power (3x2) bbl. set up that has new & correct air cleaners,
fuel lines, fuel filter & linkage. Nothing sounds like the roar of
tri-powered GOAT !! The transmission has been upgraded to a crisp
shifting TH-350 automatic transmission and it has an original 10
bolt safe-t-track rear with 3:36 gears. Other features include
power steering, power brakes, original rally I wheels with red line
radial tires and Flow master dual exhaust. This is a very nice,
very well sorted, P.H.S. documented "242" GTO that truly runs,
rides and drives as nice as it looks. NO DISAPPOINTMENTS !!
