1999 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4.0L I-6 What entered our build shop as
a stock, low-mileage 1999 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4.0L, also known as
an XJ, has been transformed into a seriously capable off-road
machine with some badass looks to go with it. Our task was to
design something that isn't dedicated strictly to one type of
driving. This XJ is just as capable on-road as it is off. This was
achieved through careful selection of supporting modifications,
using high-quality components, and most importantly, replacing any
of the remaining factory components that needed to be replaced.
This brand new build features a monstrous Iron Rock 6.5' Rock-Link
PRO Long Arm Lift Kit with Doetsch Tech 8000 series shocks. This is
arguably one of the best long arm kits on the market. 'Excellent
ride quality on the road, and incredible off-road performance. Our
kit rides so well, you might even forget you're driving a lifted
vehicle. More suspension articulation equates to more traction even
without locking differentials and this kit delivers the flex you
need.'- Iron Rock OffroadTraction is only as good as the rubber
touching the ground. Tucked underneath of the brand new Bushwhacker
fender flares, we chose the 33' BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3,
wrapped around a set of 17' Black Rhino Shredders featuring their
matte black and dark tint finish. Of course, no quality build is
complete without a matching spare wheel and tire mounted to the
rear of the vehicle.In order to accommodate for all of the added
articulation capabilities, we had to include a FULL weld in frame
stiffener package, as well as Artec Industries front and Iron Rock
rear axle trusses. Frame stiffeners include front, center, and rear
sets from Iron Rock Offroad. The entire kit is laser cut and CNC
formed and extends from the front bumper all the way to the rear
bumper. Made from 3/16 and 10 gauge plate steel, they also double
as a slider or rock armor. That being said, we have also included
brand new XRC front and rear bumpers, as well as new corner armor
at the rear. Mounted to the front is a brand new RC 9500lb Pro
Series Synthetic Rope Winch. Further, we installed a Rhino-Rack on
top for carrying extra cargo and supplies on your adventures. The
Limited trim was top of the line in '99 and includes features such
as leather seats and the nicest radio deck offered in that model
year. It sits today as a true time capsule back to the late 90s and
embodies a character lost in newer SUVs of this caliber. Come see
