amazing 1949 Chevrolet 3600 takes a pinch of rat rod and mixes it
with a generous portion of restomod, resulting in one of the most
enjoyable vehicles I've driven this year. Lurking beneath the hood
is a stout 6.0L LS that's been fortified with '243' heads
(LS6/LS2), headers, and a low-restriction air filter. The
prodigious power is passed to a 4L60E 4-speed automatic
transmission with overdrive, then back to a set of 3.73 gears.
Additional features include power steering, power 4-wheel disc
brakes, air conditioning, cruise control, 2-speed electric wipers,
NVU gauges, Pioneer MIXTRAX audio system, aluminum radiator with
electric fan and shroud, mini west coast mirrors, operational cowl
vent, Fulton Sun Shield visor, cab clearance lights, new traction
bars, and new tires (235/75R15 F, 265/70R15 R). The body, sanded to
bare metal and clear coated, rests atop a 1986 Chevy LWB S-10 frame
for a long, low, and wicked stance. This beast is real sleeper, of
which the previous owner stated, tuned to haul ass on regular gas.
