numbers matching. Powered by a 350ci V8 engine power is sent to the
rear wheels through an automatic transmission. With just over
72,600 miles on the clock this example drives extremely well.
According to the owner the engine was rebuilt. Under the hood is
very neat and tidy and the block has been painted and presents very
well. The Gray exterior has been repainted at some point and shows
exceptionally well. The Oyster leather interior is in immaculate
condition and looks like new. The owner had the differential
rebuilt along with the following work done : New shock mount
brackets - left and right, left and right trailing arms, new
carpet, new seat foam/covers and much more. Other highlights
include tilt steering wheel, power windows, air conditioning, power
brakes and power steering, T-Tops.
The special "Anniversary Edition" included a unique Charcoal
Silver/Silver Metallic two-tone paint job for an extra $399. 1978
was the 25th Anniversary of the already legendary Corvette. All
78's featured silver anniversary emblems on the nose and fuel door.
A new fastback rear window was the most dramatic and noticeable
styling change. The fixed-glass fastback improved aerodynamics,
usable luggage space, and visibility.
