Seduced by the perfect sexy lines of the 1965 Fastback Mustang George was hooked. Clearly there was no question in his mind the 1965 was love at first sight. This extremely desirable Mustang had bitten George and has never let go lasting for over 56 years.

Owned by the same owner since New in 1965. The long-hood and sweeping Fastback is true love. George has been hanging on to this original color in stunning mirror black through thick and thin. Starting in 2007 George decided it was time to restore his loved '65. TMS of Auburn WA took the next two years to bring this vintage beauty back to new. It was always a major undertaking, and the project was probably underestimated, but in the end the Fastback is breath taking. This restored beauty has only 940 miles since completion.

The Pony interior has the iconic Deluxe Pony black and white. The correct vinyl grain, color, stitching, and pleating was done by a professional restorer in the end a show-winning interior. The original early eyebrow-style dash, and original deluxe woodgrain steering wheel. The classic GT instrument package with 140 mph speedo, temp, oil, fuel and Amp gauges all feature stainless steel bezels, woodgrain, and curved glass. Retro Sound Long Beach / San Diego technologically most advanced radio made for the classic Mustang. AM/FM, SiriusXM-ready, iPod/iPhone, Bluetooth audio sound system all with the classic stock look.

The original 289 CID 2-barrel V8 has .030 bore, 10/10 crank, coated pistons, moly rings, cur & resize rods w/ARP bolts, zero deck block & cut heads 9.25 compression, R&R ring gear, upgrade alternator and dual exhaust. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts smooth.

1965 was the first year that the Mustang offered front disc brakes. Upgrading classic Mustangs to disc brakes has become a popular conversion. In addition to being more functional, disc brakes are also more attractive.

To make an impression this stunning restored Black 1965 Fastback Mustang 289ci with a 4-speed beauty is persistent as it gets.
