Why This Car Is Special
Up for sale here at Skyway Classics is a 1946 Chevrolet 2 door
street rod featuring an all-steel body that has been restored and
repainted in a two-tone blue/light blue exterior, with a re-done
custom interior, and a modified drivetrain.
Mechanical
Our 46 doesn't have the tired old factory original 216 cubic inch
engine and 3 on the tree tranny. It now has a tried & true small
block Chevy 350 cubic inch V8 engine and 700R4 automatic
transmission all on a great chassis too.
The engine has plenty of power and has a performance carb, aluminum
intake, chrome Chevrolet logo valve covers, matching open air
cleaner, hoses, lines, and wiring is nicely routed throughout the
engine, a great sound through cast iron exhaust headers and a dual
exhaust into chrome tips.
The automatic transmission turns the 10 bolt GM rear end which is
great for cruising through town or those long-distance trips. Other
nice features include the chrome power steering and power brakes,
electric fan, air conditioning, and more.
Interior
The interior has a restored twin high-back power bucket seats with
headrest and matching rear seat all covered in plush soft fabric in
a tweed and solid grey, grey carpet, headliner, door panels,
headliner and it is extremely comfortable.
The dash utilizes mostly original looking components mounted in the
bezels surrounded by chrome and polished trim that fits in
perfectly. It has a custom Chevrolet logo AM/FM/ stereo sound
system to play any tunes you might like.
The interior is fresh, clean, and sports cherry wood steering wheel
and is on a tilt column.
Exterior
Our Chevrolet has great bodylines and an amazing big car look in
the two-tone dark blue/light blue exterior shades of paint. The car
has nice chrome including the bumpers, grill, mirrors, windshield
wipers, window trim, and more.
We love the proportions of a vintage business coupe. Long hood,
long trunk, and big rounded fenders. It instantly captures the
feeling of a different era.
Ours rides on chrome custom Cragar SS classic wheels and BF
Goodrich Radial TA performance tires that give it not only a great
ride but great handling too.
