When is the last time you found a 454 stuffed in one of these? It
also has a/c, ps, and pdb. This is a timeless hot rod with classic
features, it won't go out of style.
EXTERIOR: Classic 3 window chopped coupe, full fendered, ribbed
running boards and suicide doors. The body is actually in excellent
shape. I don't see any damage, it's very straight and fits really
well. It has a 3 piece metal hood with louvered side panels. The
bright red paint has a smooth, glossy finish. The car has been
driven and enjoyed so it has small nicks and touch ups. Up front it
has original style chrome bumper with chrome brackets, a pair of
original style horns, the big original style chrome headlights with
Ford script and glass lenses, and a billet grill. In back it has a
chrome bumper and brackets, teardrop LED taillights and a 3rd brake
light in the window, a recessed license plate and a billet gas cap.
Great looking 15 inch polished Torque Thrust wheels with Good Year
tires, fatter in the back. The trunk and hood open from inside. To
open the door insert the key in the lock below the trunk lid to
lower the window so you can reach in and pull the handle.
INTERIOR: Very comfortable and roomy inside, I'm 6 foot and fit
real well. It has a very contoured, soft leather bench seat. The
inside of the cab is upholstered, the door panels have custom 2
tone upholstery. The suicide doors have a safety lock and it has
power windows. On the floor is nice black carpet, billet pedals, a
Locar shifter and chrome e brake handle. A nice leather wrapped
Lacara steering wheel is on a tilt column. It has a full set of VDO
gauges and an Alpine stereo with speakers behind the seat.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Not too often you see a 454 stuffed in one of
these. Well that's what this one has. On top is a polished aluminum
intake, chromed dual feed Holley carb that has an electric choke, a
Mallory ignition system and it's dressed up with a matched set of
aluminum valve covers and air cleaner. The air conditioning system
is full of polished components and braided hoses. It has a chrome
alternator.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is boxed and upholstered like the interior.
The battery is in the trunk, the fuse panel is behind behind a
removable insert.
UNDERSIDE: The bottom of this car was built right and painted red
gloss. It's been driven so it still looks great but isn't "fresh".
It has a custom boxed frame with tubular supports. Up front is a
Mustang ll independent suspension with coil over shocks and rack &
pinion steering. In back it has a 4 link set up with chrome tubular
control arms and adjustable coil over gas shocks. Custom stainless
fuel tank. The dual exhaust is stainless front to back. The brake
system has disc in front, the master and power brake booster is
under the car. Bottom of the motor has a chrome oil pan and
flywheel cover. It has a Turbo 400 automatic transmission, a custom
made drive shaft and Ford 9 inch rear end in back.
The only thing this is missing are the ZZ Topp girls! It is a sharp
looking, big block powered hot rod that should be driven to be
enjoyed.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
