Genuine Q code 428 Mach 1, documented by the Marti Report. Restored
very nicely from the ground up.
EXTERIOR: The body is laser straight, the gaps are precise. I don't
see any problem areas. Repainted Silver Jade, it's a beautiful
color. The metal flake is laid out nicely and it has a very glossy
smooth finish. It has the painted black out hood treatment and the
Mach 1 decal stripes. It's also decked out with spoilers, sport
mirrors and hood pins. The bumpers and gas cap look new. The
stainless trim looks original. The windshield was replaced. New
Magnum 500 wheels, new reproduction Firestone Wide Oval tires that
are actually radials that look like bias ply.
INTERIOR: It has the deluxe interior with high back seats, molded
door panels and console. Down on the floor the carpet looks new and
it has the sewn in red mats, it also has embroidered floormats. The
seats have been reupholstered, the back seat is a sport fold down.
The headliner and visors have been replaced and fit tight. It has a
factory AM-FM stereo. New Shelby style steering wheel. Overall very
nice condition.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It's a 428 motor with stock components. The
motor is neatly painted Ford blue. Everything looks tidy and
proper- choke tube is hooked up, it has the washer bottle, both
horns, fan shroud, battery is bolted down. It features power
steering. The engine bay is clean metal painted satin black. The
last owner said it ran great. Took it on a trip, drove 75 mph for
an hour with no issues. The only issue was all the attention this
car gets. It
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It looks very clean and the trunk. Gray spatter
compartment, gloss green under the trunk lid and jamb. Weatherstrip
was replaced. It has the plaid original style mat and there is also
a new embroidered carpet mat. It has a space saver tire for a
spare.
UNDERSIDE: It looks very tidy under this car. The floors and frame
rails are clean metal. They were prepped and neatly sprayed black,
new grommets. The front end was completely rebuilt. Power steering
control valve was replaced. The dual exhaust has cross over pipe
and quad tips. It has disc brakes in front, lines and hoses were
replaced and the e-brake assembly is hooked up. Looking up at the
motor it is clean, fuel pump and starter look new. It has the heavy
duty C-6 automatic. The rear end has 3.50 gears.
This is a very desirable car. I have not bought many Mach 1s at all
this year, especially not 428s. This one is clean and sharp
looking!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
