Vehicle Description
A bright red 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS is hardly an incognito
machine. However, if you don't see the headliner on the windshield
or the fender tags, you may not pick up on that this is a
supercharged and fortified Hennessey Camaro HPE750. And more than
just an awesome 750 horsepower machine, you get a low-mileage
modern coupe that can produce serious speed while providing the
ultimate in comfort.
This is a car that hardly had any miles on it when it was sent to
Hennessey Performance. And it has had less than 500 miles on it
since coming back from the Texas shop in July 2020. So yes, this
one has been babied all its life thus far. That's why the body
lines are so crisp and the factory Red Hot paint has a showroom
level of shine. It has the right look of a clean and premium 2SS
everywhere from the bolden Chevy bow ties to the bright factory
20-inch alloys. We like the way this one is presented today. It has
understated aggression with tasteful Hennessey badging all around,
and some may see the updated hood with "Supercharged" on the power
dome, but nothing is too boastful. Sure, you can add a new stripe
kit or a new rear wing with ease. But the way it presents right now
is somewhere in-between subtly sophisticated to the ultimate
sleeper.
The interior is dark, aggressive, fresh, and loaded. It starts with
a large digital infotainment screen that controls the AM/FM/XM/iPod
stereo, satellite navigation, Bluetooth, and integrated backup
camera. There's also automatic A/C climate control, keyless entry,
keyless ignition, power locks, cruise control, and tilt/telescopic
steering column. And a modern classic means modern safety features
like dual front airbags, side airbags, and ABS. The front bucket
seats coddle you in supple leather. They power adjust and are even
heated and ventilated. But don't forget these also get you in the
best driving position. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is a
flat-bottom sports unit that has all the right buttons to be a true
command center. The head-up display has all your best information.
And there are even paddle shifters for you to take full
command.
When it's time to show off, you can always just lift the hood. The
engine bay looks stuffed with horsepower, and the tag right at the
front shows that this is build number 006. What makes a Hennessey
car absolutely awesome is how they fully build the motor. It starts
with the 6.2-liter fuel-injected LT1 V8, which is already a power
juggernaut. They enhance and fortify it with CNC ported cylinder
heads, lightweight intake valves, upgraded valve springs, titanium
retainers, an HPE hydraulic roller camshaft, hydraulic lifters, and
upgraded pushrods. That gets it ready for the high-flow
supercharger to go on top. It even gets stainless steel long tube
headers and high-flow catalytic converters. The result is a strong
750 horsepower! The modern eight-speed automatic transmission has
pulled supercharged duty in other GM cars like the Cadillac CTS-V.
It means some of the most versatile gearing around for everything
from easy cruising to head-snapping acceleration. The
fully-independent sports suspension, power steering, Goodyear Eagle
tires, and Brembo four-wheel power disc brakes are all part of this
confident and sharp driving package.
The sale comes complete with the original window sticker, owner's
manual packet, and dealer invoice. This is the awesomely powerful,
preserved, and loaded specialty machine you always hoped was out
