For Sale: 1966 Ford Mustang in Stratford, Connecticut

Vehicle Description

The Ford Mustang… Does it really need an introduction? Unveiled in 1964, what was originally expected to be a small, fun, and cheap throwaway commuter car for younger adults, ended up being one of the most popular collector vehicles of all time. The first generation of Mustangs arguably has one of the largest & most diverse followings, and has had that following since being brand new. If Ford hadn’t designed this pony car, who knows what would’ve happened to the evolution of pony cars and muscle cars?

This 1966 example is the perfect cruiser for those who want to spend their Sunday drives headed to the beach. Dressed in Ivy Green with a parchment interior and brand new parchment soft top, this pony is gorgeous whether the top is down, or up. Fitted with a 200 horsepower 2 barrel, 289 V8, this is a factory specified “C Code”, with a C4 automatic. Featuring the engine bay buck tag as well as the driver’s door data plate, it appears that this Mustang originated out of the Metuchen, New Jersey factory. Additional options include the GT Rallye wheels (with the inners painted Ivy Green to match), factory power steering, reverse lights, and center console. Recent services include a “Mustang” radio installation, with kick panel speakers (original kick panels come with the vehicle), ignition tune up, engine bay wiring harness replacement, carburetor rebuild, an entire cooling system overhaul, a significant interior refresh, brakes and suspension service, as well as freshly plated chrome trim surrounding the vehicle. No stone was left unturned in the recent service of this Mustang, and it is ready to enjoy it’s next trip to the beach.
