Vehicle Description
CPR Classic is excited to offer this lovely 1969 Porsche 912
painted in Bahama Yellow with a black interior and tartan inserts.
This 912 was acquired by CPR from a collector client in Texas and
presents as a very nice driver quality restoration throughout.
Please note, the interior is pictured without door pockets. Correct
door pockets have been sourced and are being installed.
The car is painted in the sought-after color Bahamma yellow and
presents in excellent condition throughout. The panel fitment and
gaps are excellent and it is evident that the repaint on the car
was carried out correctly and with care. The exterior bright work
on the car is very nice with new horn grills, lenses at all corners
and headlight bezels. Talbot mirrors and early bumper guards were
also installed. The window frames are original but in very nice,
presentable condition. A painted cover was fitted to the exhaust
cutout on the rear driver bumper as the car wears a twin rear-exit
muffler.
The interior is finished in Black vinyl with added tartan inserts.
The carpet is correct and nicely fit. The dash and door cards were
restored as well as the headliner and rear package tray. The gauges
are original and in very nice condition. The interior also wears a
period Blaupunkt radio.
As noted earlier, the interior is pictured without door pockets.
Correct door pockets have been sourced and are being installed on
the car. When the interior was restored, a wooden shift knob and
steering wheel were added. CPR will install a stock steering wheel,
shift knob and recover the front seats if the new owner would
prefer.
The engine in the car is a replacement period correct unit and runs
outstanding. It was overhauled and was built to stock
specifications. The gearbox has standard gear sets and shifts
nicely through all five gears with a tight and sorted linkage. The
engine presents in very nice cosmetic condition with restored tins
and presentable brightwork.
The Porsche 912 is a lovely air-cooled Porsche that is still
attainable by today's standards. The 1969 model in our opinion, is
the best to own and drive as it was the last and only year to be
built on the long wheel base platform. This example presents in a
great color and will offer a wonderful experience for its next
owner. If you are in the market for a well assembled, great driving
Porsche 912, this is a must consider car.
