138 VIN, FACTORY COLOR REGAL RED, 4 SPEED !!!! This 1966 Chevelle
SS has been in the south its whole life. It received a restoration
in 2005. The body is straight from every angle. All body panels fit
square and flush. The body has no signs of ever having any rust
issues, bubbles or cracks. The Regal Red paint has been color
sanded to a smooth high gloss finish. Door jambs are nice and
glossy. All weather stripping has been replaced. The vent windows
have new rubber seals. Up front the headlight bezels and grill are
in excellent condition as well as the moldings and all the emblems.
Front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed. The glass has factory
tint and is in good condition. Rear tail light bezels and trim are
polished to show quality. Bowtie mirrors are in good condition. It
rides on a set of 15" Mickey Thompson radials with a set of Cragar
SS Mags 15X7 in the front and 15X8 in the rear for a nostalgic
look. The engine compartment is nicely detailed with its GM
performance 502 cubic inch engine rated over 500 hp, 780 Holley
dual feed carburetor, correct fuel line, factory chrome valve
covers, correct air cleaner and correct remote power steering
reservoir. It also has a cadmium plated Delco Moraine brake
booster, upgraded dual master cylinder, HEI ignition for
reliability and a new 4-core factory style aluminum radiator with
correct fan shroud. Bottom of the hood is painted in a satin black
finish and has hood insulation. The engine bay has a nice satin
black finish. The interior has been completely restored from the
headliner to the carpet. It has bucket seats and a console. The
seats have been reupholstered. The dash is gorgeous. The dash pad
is like new. The trim around the dash sparkles against the glossy
black dash. All the knobs are shiny, and all the factory gauges
work. The knee knocker tach looks restored. Factory 2-spoke wood
steering wheel is in excellent condition. New sill plates, door
panels and armrests bases are like new. It also has front and rear
seatbelts . The undercarriage is all clean metal. The floors have
no sign of rust. Looking up at the engine, it is clean and painted
in Chevy Orange. The 4-speed Richmond transmission is clean too.
The front end looks good. New shocks, rear sway bar with boxed in
control arms, newer gas tank and straps, 2.5" FlowMaster dual
exhaust and a 12-bolt 3:73 posi rear end. The floors look to be
solid and original. The trunk is detailed nicely with a coat of
black and aqua splatter paint, trunk mat, spare tire with jack
assembly and new weather stripping. The underside of the trunk lid
is painted and has a glossy finish that includes the jacking
instructions and posi decals. This 1966 Chevelle has a lot going
for it-color, options and horsepower! Very desirable features and
it is a real Super Sport!!
