Vehicle Description
"The "Goat" defined and continues to define everything that was a
muscle car of the late 60s - great lines, power and
performance.
The design was clean, almost organic. Gone were the window pillars
from the hardtop and the convertible. The GTO featured clean,
rounded body lines that flowed from the standard Pontiac front end
of that era."
- Cars and Stripes
This 1969 Pontiac GTO Coupe has the correct original exterior color
of Midnight Green with a new black vinyl top. The interior is
finished in black carpet with black front bucket and rear bench
seating. The car features power steering, air conditioning, power
front disc brakes and rear drums. The original, numbers matching
400ci engine is mated to a TH400 automatic transmission that is
also numbers matching.
This GTO is a great driver that is ready to take for a cruise. The
400 cubic inch engine comes to a quick start getting its fuel
delivered by a new 4-barrel Edelbrock carburetor. Power is
transferred to the General Motors, Automatic, 3-speed transmission
and sent to the 12-bolt rear end.
The Midnight Green exterior is an older paint job that looks great
from a few feet away but after a close inspection has small areas
of scattered paint defects. Particularly on the front bumper.
This 1969 GTO is great for long cruises and weekend shows. As one
of the most desired models for muscle car collectors the GTO is a
piece of 1960's American automotive history.
