The Miata MX-5 was clearly created by enthusiasts. The shape was
nostalgic and captured the essence of sports car lore without
copying any one design - some MGB, some Lotus Elan, some TR4. This
1990 MX-5 is a very nice example of the Gen1 Miata. The partially
restored roadster received a professional 2-stage respray of
Crystal White in 2012 with accents that include MX-5 side stripes
and 15'x7" Avanti Racing Storm alloy wheels that mount virtually
new BFGoodrich G-Force radials. The interior is original cloth and
is in very good condition - seats, carpeting and dash are
outstanding. It is equipped with a driver airbag, tinted windows
and a new Robbins 'Panorama' manual convertible top. The fully
functioning A/C system has received regular service and sounds come
from a JVC AM/FM/CD system. Horsepower is supplied by a normally
aspirated Mazda 1.6L DOHC power-plant that is backed by a
five-speed manual transmission derived from the Mazda 929 with
revised gear ratios. The engine has recently received a major
service including new timing belt, water pump, radiator, hoses and
ignition components. Oil has been changed on a regular basis. Lower
control arms have been replaced and a new battery has also been
installed. Power assisted 4-wheel disc brakes provide stopping
capabilities and the suspension has been upgraded with Racing Beat
Street Springs/front stabilizer bar and adjustable Koni shocks. The
owner states that all work has been done professionally and
provided extensive service records with the car. This very sharp
Miata MX-5 has been carefully maintained and delivers a classic
sports car experience. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
