This Nova was a featured calendar car twice (see pictures), most recently in a NAPA-sponsored Rods and Rides calendar (copies of each will transfer with the car).
The “better than new” quality of the Viper Red re-spray of this hardtop coupe makes this Nova a favorite at shows The custom flames add a unique signature to the car.
The engine compartment is spotless and the underside of this Nova is exceptionally clean with chrome upper and lower control arms. The car has traction bars and subframe connectors to handle the torque of the engine.
The Air Ride Technologies air suspension system enables the driver to adjust the ride height on all four corners according to road conditions or driver preference.
The light tan leather interior was custom-designed and is absolutely beautiful. Bucket seats—front and back—separated by individual consoles!
The headliner is similarly custom designed.
The Dakota Digital gauges add a modern note as does the custom Ididit tilt steering column. The lights, turn signals and horn work. The wipers, while installed, were never hooked up because this Nova doesn’t know what bad weather is.
Even the trunk is customized, housing the radio components in a leather-lined compartment leaving plenty of room for suitcases or gear for a car show.
The 383 Stroker V-8 engine rests in a detailed engine compartment. It has a serpentine belt system and headers with dual exhausts. At the turn of the key the engine comes to life (see video). And you know that you’ve got a high-performance engine from the growl of the exhaust.
The Nova has a 700R4 automatic transmission with a console-mounted shifter.
The power gets to the Falken tires through a 9-inch Ford rear end with 3.73 gears and Positraction.
The power disc brakes on the Nova bring it to a safe stop without any pulling from side to side.
The front disc brake enhancement is one of the most important safety features one can have on a classic car—and this Nova has it along with seatbelts.
The modern drivetrain assures that you’ll get where you’re headed every time and on time.
The Ididit tilt wheel adjusts to each driver’s preference while he/she is settling into the luxurious leather seats. And remember that this 4-season car is equipped with air conditioning, allowing you to have an enjoyable outing even in the heat of the summer.
