West Coast Classics are proud to present a rare and desirable 1960 Ford Galaxie Sunliner Convertible with the optional factory upgrade of the FE 352 4 barrel Thunderbird Special engine which was rated at 300 HP engine and with dual exhausts. This particular example has been restored only as required over the years with one repaint in its original factory 'Yosemite Yellow'' (code G) color paint and with a striking and also correct specification reupholstered and complimenting 'Yellow amp; Black' original (trim code 48) interior and a Black power soft top. This is an original southern California car which was has obviously always been garaged and well maintained. The floor boards, trunk and all the typical rust-prone areas are rust-free and the car has obviously a garaged car since new.The 1960 Ford Sunliner was the top-of-the-line of the top-of-the-line Galaxie group and the raciest of Ford's bigger than ever early 1960's big cars. The all new 1960 model was some 6" longer and almost 5" wider and nearly 200 llbs heavier than it's predecessors and was widely considered to be Ford's cleanest styling in years. The glass area was greatly increased and the car boasted much wider interior dimensions and yet it's graceful styling helped hide the additional heft with a sloped hood, simple grille, straight A pillars, clean chrome edged fenderlines and modest horizontal tailfins. The Sunliner again led the top-of-the-line Galaxie group and these rare 1960 swoopy and stylistic big and spacious V8 powerhouses are finally gaining the attention they deserve both from regular classic American Car enthusiasts as well as obviously all serious Ford enthusiasts..This particular example boasts the optional 352 CID Thunderbird Special 4 BBL V8 engine with 300HP matched to the top of the line ($388) Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission and a 2.91:1 Axle rear end.
