Vehicle Description
Here's an iconic 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS coupe with its original
409ci V8 and an upgraded triple-black style. It all makes for a
terrific big block legend with the right cruiser-ready
attitude.
An Impala with a 409 is such a legend that you instantly hear Beach
Boys lyrics the moment someone tells you about the big V8 under the
hood. But we love these coupes for so much more. They represented
fast with class as the '63 had a full-size look and a formal
hardtop roofline. The black paint was an upgrade later in life. It
has the right mix of good shine but an overall style that will let
you hit the road without worrying about loose gravel. A black vinyl
top was also added. Wraparound chrome bumpers, a full-width grille,
and quad headlights with individual bezels look distinct and bright
against the black. The Super Sport trim meant the hallmark triple
taillight package was now placed within a machine-turned panel that
loves to glow in the daylight. They borrowed that same style for
the full-length trim strip. Add in all the correct 409 badging and
Rally wheels, and this one perfectly mixes the right vintage
elements with an upgraded attitude.
The black interior was part of this car's later upgrade, and it
joins the paint and vinyl roof to give you a desirable triple-black
presentation. Even with the upgrade, this was born a bucket seat
true SS. Just like the exterior, there is an impression inside of
the kind of car that can be enjoyed on a whim. And it even has nice
details, like the button-top presentation on the smooth seats and
doors. This is a full-size coupe, but the focus is on the driver.
You get an artful grippy steering wheel, a center console with
floor shift, and a well-placed auxiliary gauge trio.
A numbers-matching 409 cubic-inch V8 is something quite special. So
wherever you go, you're going to feel like showing off the
legendary motor. That's why they made sure the engine bay looks
good with smooth inner fenders, a bold block, and plenty of polish
on the valve covers and air grabber. It inhales deeply through a
four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a rumbling authority
from the glasspack-style dual exhaust. What really drives home this
car's cruiser-friendly nature is how strong this one runs. You even
have a Powerglide automatic transmission that's perfect for both
easy boulevard driving and a little quarter-mile fun. Add in power
steering, power brakes, and wide BF Goodrich T/As, and this coupe
is a great classic for the road.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual, warranty card, and
a car cover. Here's an attractive cruiser package that's built
around one of the most desirable V8s ever. This is the Impala we
all want, and the first one here gets it. So don't delay, call
