4-speed Tribute
1966 Chevelle Convertible SS 427 Tribute Owned 40 years by the
previous owner. This Triple Black SS 427 4-speed Tribute really
stands out! The Black Mirror-Like paint finish is super straight.
The builder of the car worked as a mechanic for General Motors and
knew what he was doing when he put the drive train together. It is
currently powered by a performance-built 427 CID with a Holley 4bbl
that was from a 1969 Corvette. It was reportedly dynoed at over 500
HP it is not for the faint of heart and sounds VERY healthy!
Options include Power Steering and Power DISC Brakes (on all 4).
The wheels are American Racing 5 spoke Classic. The tires are 205
70R 15 (front) and 29 X 15 50R Hoosiers on the rear! Check out the
pro-level finishing of the tub in the trunk. It has a 4 speed with
a Hurst Shifter, a Sun Pro Tach auxiliary Oil Pressure, and
Temperature Gauge. The undercarriage is solid. Unfortunately, we
can not answer specific questions about the build as the previous
owner has passed and did much of the work himself... we are told
his Chevelle was always a great source of pride. He restored it
about 12 years ago and we are told that he probably put on less
than 5 000 miles since it was completed. Overall the condition is
that of an excellent driver and causal show car you can be proud to
