1949 Cadillac Series 61 Sedan finished in El Paso Beige and Madero
Maroon paint. The paint does have some shadowing on the hood,
overall paint shows nice for the age. There is some checking on the
roof, see pictures. Chrome and brightwork in good shape, iconic
front end. This 4dr is powered by the 331 V8 that is paired with a
4-speed Hydromatic transmission. Originally a California car, then
was registered in Arizona before coming to us. Riding on the wide
white walls with full Cadillac wheel covers. Curb feelers are
installed on this as well, a classic look. The design cues of the
Lockheed P-38 Lightning can be seen in the design of this car,
particularly the tail lights and rear fenders. Taupe and brown
cloth bench interior with automatic on the column. Interior is in
great shape and shows well throughout. Previous owner installed a
fuel pump switch under the dash that, when the key is turned on,
will run the fuel pump and make this easier to start. Once it is
started, turn the fuel pump switch off. Radio does power up, was
able to get static but did not get reception. Wipers are working,
but are vacuum and act like it so keep that in mind. All gauges
appear to be working in this car as well! Nice sounding
Cadillac!
