Vehicle Description
1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz for sale! Motorcar Classics is
proud to offer this magnificent 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz
Convertible featured in the rare combination of Hampton Green with
Ivory interior and brand-new white convertible top. As confirmed by
the included build sheet from the Cadillac Heritage Center, these
are the original colors, and the bucket seat interior, which was on
only 99 of the 1,320 1959 Eldorado Biarritz built, is original to
the car. The 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz was a car of
superlatives: The top-of-the-line open-air offering from America
rsquo;s reigning luxury champion, the Eldorado Biarritz was powered
by Cadillac rsquo;s most powerful V-8, came loaded with an enviable
slate of standard features, and possessed some of the era rsquo;s
most exciting styling. In fact, the 1959 Eldorado Biarritz is said
to sport the tallest tailfins ever fitted to a production car. As
the marque rsquo;s convertible flagship, each example of the model
came very well equipped; power brakes and power steering were
standard, as were power windows, vent windows, seat, door locks,
and remote trunk release. Our car has its original 390CI OHV V-8
Engine with three two-barrel carburetors producing 345bhp at
4,800rpm and driving through Cadillac rsquo;s 4-Speed Hydra-Matic
Automatic Transmission. Additional factory equipment includes a
WonderBar radio, clock, and matching parade boot. Our car is an
older restoration whose paint and interior continue to present in
concours condition. This stunning Eldorado Biarritz was the subject
of a nut and bolt restoration that was completed in 2007, and it
has been featured in three prestigious collections since. It runs
and drives beautifully. In addition to the fresh top, the
transmission was recently rebuilt.
