Vehicle Description
The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon was purely built for
enthusiasts. After all, it's a supercharged Hemi V8 machine laying
down 840 horsepower. And to make sure the power meets the pavement,
the factory gave it a custom crate full of the best
competition-style goodies. And so the only thing missing from
making it an NHRA quarter-mile king right out of the box is a
factory roll cage. But we're getting a bit too far ahead of this
example because it looks like it has yet to experience tire-smoking
fun. It's a one-owner babied coupe where the Demon crate is still
in the original wrapping and the front splitter protector is still
in place. So it's really its life thus far has been about going to
shows and maintaining the best preservation just because we all
knew these Demons will be truly in demand.
The Demon is one mean machine. After all, the standard Challenger
already had the size to intimidate every Mustang and Camaro. But
the specially developed widebody kit makes this the kind of
aggressor where semi trucks will move out of your way. And a color
like Plum Crazy Purple is the perfect way to present this ultimate
Mopar. After all, it's a classic High Impact color from the muscle
car heyday that also still knows how to radiate with authority
today. The full dark side package looks terrific against the purple
with the blackout grille, chin splitter, rear spoiler, and 18-inch
wheels. And the satin black hood is a $2k option all on its own.
It's a rare configuration that's worth every penny to show off the
wide air grabber hood. But while this was built for pure power, you
can also see that this Demon has yet to get really angry. The paint
retains a showroom level of shine, and you will be searching for a
long time before seeing any signs that this has even been out on
the road. Even the rubber protector on the front splitter that's
specifically designed for factory shipping is still in place. This
level of care happens when someone appreciates a true exotic from
day one. Ferrari is famous for making one less than the estimated
demand of its special edition car so that they will always be
desired. And we can't help but feel they might have sent that memo
to the other side of the FCA corporate family at Dodge. With only
3,300 consumer examples, and less than 275 finished in this High
Impact color, you know there will be someone making you an offer
just about every time you let the Demon out of the garage.
Such low mileage means the interior is exceptionally preserved,
too. There are some unique features for this Demon like the
devilishly red seat belt option, Demon logo seatbacks, and a plaque
on the passenger side vent with your individual serial number. But
what may surprise you the most is how comfortable it all is on the
inside. This has the passenger and rear seat options (yes, they are
optional!) It is done in a nice leather/Alcantara combo, and the
front buckets are even heated and ventilated. It has all the right
features you want, including dual-zone A/C climate control, a power
driver's seat, power windows, power locks, keyless entry &
ignition, cruise control, power steering, dual front airbags, side
airbags, and an SRT steering wheel with paddle shifters. The center
of this interior is a premium touchscreen that runs all the luxury
and technology features, including Bluetooth, a backup camera,
satellite navigation, and a full set of race-ready apps. And while
the interior appears almost untouched, what truly is still in the
factory wrapper are the contents of the Demon crate. This is what
you can use to turn this into a small tire quarter-mile machine. It
includes a front drag wheel, a proper jack, a toolkit, air
compressor, and even a powertrain control module to allow this to
run on race gas. But as you'll notice from the pictures, these
remain in their factory wrapping as more of the car's excellent
preservation.
Under the hood what earns this coupe its demonic status: the
6.2-liter supercharged V8. The motor makes 800+ horsepower on pump
gas, and the Demon crate pieces help unlock the full race-ready 840
horses and 770 lb-ft torque. The statistics on the car are amazing.
The 0-60 mph time is rated at 2.3 seconds, and it runs the
quarter-mile in under 10 seconds. So if you ever come up to a
Bugatti or Ferrari at the stoplight grand prix, you're going to
pull ahead and stay ahead. But those are the kinds of things you
tell others when this is under your garage lights. After all,
launch assist and big Brembo four-wheel disc brakes are there, but
you're rarely ever going to use them to the fullest. The fact that
this has an eight-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and
power brakes means this racecar for the road can easily be driven
to car shows.
The sale comes complete with all the right paperwork, including the
factory buildsheet, the dealer invoice, a copy of the window
sticker, and the owner's manual. And there's even a car cover so
that you can properly tuck it in every night. This is the one-owner
instant collectible that has been treated with the level of care
you'd want if you had ordered this Demon brand new. So don't miss
this awesomely preserved total package, call today!
