1987 was the final year for the boxy bodies on the Chevrolet
Silverado we all love. So this example pays tribute to this design
with a well-preserved style that's also loaded with an A/C
interior, overdrive transmission, dual fuel tanks, fuel-injected
V8, and more.
This was the final year for the crisp design that makes these
trucks look so tough, and so it's great to have an example with
such good sheet metal. And we like the mix this one has with a good
'ol pickup feel where the correct tan paint has the right look of
stylishly aged. And the premium Silverado model's full-length trim
and chrome bumpers have a ton of shine. So while we don't know if
the low odometer represents the full actual mileage, the overall
impression is certainly that of a low-mileage and well-respected
classic truck. And you'll even love the details, like the newer
headlights and clean bed. Plus, the color-matched rally wheels have
a wider rear set. That extra rubber in the rear is great no matter
if you want to add a trailer hitch or just love the stance.
The interior shows off more of the Silverado's upscale image. You
have a nice velour seat and a fresher style to dash pad, dash,
carpet, and headliner. This came loaded from the factory with power
windows, a tilt steering column, and cruise control. Everything
looks stock, right down to the AM/FM/cassette stereo. Even the
factory air conditioning is blowing nice and cold thanks to modern
R134a refrigerant.
Under the hood is the correct-style optional 350 cubic-inch V8, and
it's from the fuel injection years. Combined with good maintenance,
it means this pickup fires up readily, idles smoothly, and delivers
a nice wallop of power whenever you desire. This V8 is mated to a
700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly
overdrive. So, if you were starting to think that this is a great
truck for all-day cruising at any speed, you'd be very right. This
Silverado also has comfortable features such as power steering,
power brakes with discs up front, and even dual fuel tanks for the
long haul.
You're looking at a legend that is the right mix of vintage,
comfortable, and capable. So if you like classic truck distinction
with modern convenience, call today!
