We have a 1972 Buick Skylark Gran Sport Stage I GSX Tribute here at
Skyway Classics. In 1972 Saturn Yellow was one of only two choices
on a GSX as the other being Apollo White, add the black stripes,
ram air hood scoops, rear deck spoiler, and GSX badges and this
tribute is hard to ignore.
Mechanical Specs
Our Buick is powered by a real modified 455 cubic inch V8 Buick
engine mated to an automatic transmission and features power
steering, power brakes, performance aluminum intake manifold,
performance 4-barrel carburetor, modified performance ignition,
performance tube headers and a custom dual exhaust.
The 455 even has a correct 455 Stage I Ram Air Cleaner with the
GS-455 decals on it, air conditioning, modified fuel delivery
system, and Buick black factory valve covers and sits in a clean
and detailed engine compartment.
This Buick is fast!!!! It is a built engine that sounds great and
will be a very fast car for you on the drag strip or street.
Interior
The interior features a black spit bench front seat with headrest
and armrest, Buick three-spoke factory steering wheel, power seats,
windows and door locks, auxiliary tach, factory dash and gauges
with aftermarket gauges, aftermarket stereo radio system,
seatbelts, column shifter, black carpe and floor mats, and AM/FM
stereo radio.
The upholstery is in excellent condition with newer carpets and
what appear to be original door panels and seats. The trunk is in
good order with correct spatter paint as well as a rear-mounted
battery.
Exterior
The 1972 Buick Skylark Gran Sport Stage I GSX Tribute is finished
in the factory correct Sunburst yellow with black and red GSX
stripes, Buick Rally wheels with black wall tires, a 12-bolt rear
end, and the GSX rear spoiler.
The yellow paint is bright and has good body lines as well as
chrome and trim items, and the exhaust is great with the dual
exhaust system exiting out the rear.
Conclusion
The 1972 Buick Skylark Gran Sport Stage I GSX Tribute we have
available here at Skyway Classics can be bought for a whole lot
less than the real deal ones, and you can still have the same fun
showing it off and using all the power the big block 455 engine
has.
