This 1999 Ford Mustang GT shows the exact reason why young classics
are awesome. It has been upgraded throughout, even the suspension
has quality investments. But what this never loses along the way is
the feeling of a low-mileage solid new-era classic that delivers
all the best features you would even want in a brand-new car.
This is a two-owner coupe that has averaged under 1,200 miles
annually. That tells you it has been treated with care and respect,
and the finish proves it. It shows all the right signs of being the
factory application, and it retains a quality gloss and shine. It
does a great job of showing off this GT's sporty curves that it got
from the factory. Plus, it sets the right tone for speedy style
upgrades. It starts with a full Saleen S281-style body kit that
includes the aggressive front bumper, an upgraded Saleen rear
bumper, and an awesomely long spoiler. There's also a blackout
Cobra grille, polished Cobra R wheels, and we especially love how
the Roush ground effects incorporate the working side exhaust. So
you can see this one GT has the best of everything offered to the
Mustang.
The tan leather interior has a timelessly tasteful style against
the deep black exterior. And the low mileage means the proper care
continues inside. Your seat power adjusts to the ideal position.
And the sports steering wheel, tilt column, full gauges, and
well-placed shifter get you ready for performance driving. Plus,
you'll love this for being a loaded modern machine. This includes
power windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, power mirrors,
dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes, cruise control, power
steering, and cold-blowing air conditioning. There are also some
nice upgrades for modern driving like deeply tinted windows, Cobra
floor mats to protect the carpeting, and an AM/FM/XM stereo with
USB and Bluetooth to connect your favorite music players.
The 4.6-liter SOHC V8 is part of a newer tradition in Mustang
performance. This fuel-injected unit offers a nice power boost over
its 5.0 predecessor, but it remains just as robust and easy to
modify. That's why you see the addition of the K&N cold air
intake and feeding a BBK throttle body for a nice boost to the
power. And V8 like this is not only powerful but also smooth. That
makes it quite versatile. This pony car runs strong, and you get to
take full advantage of it thanks to the five-speed manual
transmission. Plus, the side exhaust makes for a terrific V8
soundtrack you can really hear. The handling is superior with
upgrades to the suspension that include a thick front sway bar,
upgraded shocks, upgraded rear arms, and subframe connectors. Add
in a limited-slip rear end, four-wheel power disc brakes, and
grippy Falken tires, and this makes for quite a sharp package.
The sale comes complete with an extra set of keys, two more
wheels/tires, and suspension components. This nicely done pony is
going to be galloping out of here quick at such a value price.
