Vehicle Description
The Type 2 VW is known in every part of the world and the earlier
ones command some huge money. The T3 also known as the Transporter
or Caravelle in Europe, Microbus in South Africa and the Vanagon in
North and South America was built from 1979-1991. And from the
exterior looks minus a couple cosmetic items, they looked largely
alike during those times but the biggest change was from air cooled
to water cooled and the front headlight set up went from single
round to square lights. Now the most popular and sought after to
this day is the highly desired Westphalia camper. And to find a
50,000 mile example that has never been used in the snow and came
out of elderly ownership is almost unheard of. Furthermore, this
rig is clean, rust free minus a couple very minor surface rust
spots like the LP tank and support, unmolested and all stock. The
A/C was converted back in 2005, the radio works as does all the
camping equipment which looks as though it has hardly every been
used. The bug screen and all window treatments are in nice unworn
condition and the interior is one of the nicest I have ever seen.
This VW just had the axle shafts and steering rack switched out and
fluid service. Not exactly sure on age of the tires and brakes but
the tires ride nice and brakes work as they should, has a clean
carfax and original owners manuals and keys. The van starts easy,
idles instantly and goes down the road as it should. Finding these
in this condition is near impossible so you should get it while you
can. Please inquire with any questions.
