Vehicle Description
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro convertible has a cool color combo and
terrific vintage details. And with proper V8 power under the hood,
it's an ideal drop-top iconic cruiser.
This Camaro is a bit of a smooth operator. The body panels have a
well-done look and the factory-correct Matador Red paint is a
bright application. So the sunlight just loves to roll off the
classic curves of this icon. And while most convertibles look best
with the top down, we can't help but be attracted to the way the
clean white top goes so well with the D90 sports stripe. A deep
chin spoiler, good window trim, and bright chrome bumper give this
a great classic Camaro look. Plus, the polished Cragar Eliminator
500 wheels have a cool vintage design, but they are in a modern
17-inch size to let you take advantage of better modern tires.
The black interior has a clean and complete look that's attractive
from day one. There are plenty of classic details, including the
wood-like trim, a factory three-spoke steering wheel, a power top,
and a working heater that's perfect for crisp fall top-down drives.
Even the Delco AM radio is still cranking out tunes. Plus, bucket
seats, a center console, and the horseshoe shifter all really make
this a great driver's convertible.
The engine bay has the first impression of something very stock
with the bright orange block radiating from within the dark inner
walls. But while the callouts for the motor may say 327, this is a
later and larger 350 cubic-inch V8. It has also been upgraded for
further added power with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and a
Weiand intake. And there are the right supporting components like
an HEI distributor and an aluminum radiator. This one loves to be a
cruiser, and that's why you have a three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, front disc brakes, and modern sport
tires making this convertible a fine driver.
