This award-winning 1958 Pro-Touring Corvette is a fresh build with test miles only and was professionally restored and custom-built with modern technology throughout. For added comfort and to accommodate taller occupants, it's been modified to add 7 extra inches between the steering wheel and seat, and 2 extra inches in the footwell compared to a standard C1 Corvette. Power comes from a GM Racing Gen 5 LT1 (LT376/535) direct-injected 6.2-liter V8 crate engine that puts out 535hp and 470 ft/lbs of torque. The engine has a custom air intake, a Billet Specialties polished front drive system and is paired with a 4L75E 4-speed automatic transmission. It has a custom-made SRIII super-tube chassis equipped with C7 Corvette front and rear suspension, C7 Z06 front and rear sway bars, and QA1 performance adjustable coilovers with 18 levels of ride control. The rear end has a Winters Quick Change differential with 3.70 gears and HD performance axles with machined-in ZR1 hubs. It has a custom-tuned stainless-steel exhaust system exiting through the rear bumper. This custom Corvette rides on 18- and 19-inch custom Schott wheels with tri-bar knock-offs wrapped in Diamondback red line tires. For safety, the braking system utilizes a dual system with electric over hydraulic power disc brakes. The body is all-original and was completely stripped and professionally body-worked with laser-straight panels and proper gaps. The car was then stunningly finished in House of Kolor Lexus Candy Apple Red metallic with slightly contrasting coves ghosted three shades lighter and topped with a Haartz black cloth convertible top. A fully restored color-matched hardtop is also included. The custom double-stitched maroon leather interior has a matching dash, custom door panels and reclining seats, Flaming River steering column, Vintage Air operated by the original knobs, rebuilt gauges with new electronics and a SkyDrive GPS speedometer. Other features include QuickSteer performance power rack & pinion steering, stainless-steel fuel tank, custom Dewitts radiator with electric fan, an electric parking brake, power hood actuator, power windows, side door mirrors with built-in turn signals, LED front bumper running lights, custom Autosound stereo and hydraulic shocks on the convertible top deck and trunk lid.
