Vehicle Description
This 1956 Ford F-100 custom pickup underwent a full
no-expense-spared build and restoration. This rolling piece of art
was originally built and once owned by the famous Hollywood
actor/producer Jim Brubaker. Under the hood is a Ford fuel-injected
5.8-liter V8 engine paired to a Ford E40D 4-speed automatic
transmission. Highly modified, the engine features several
performance elements, including JE pistons, ARP studs, Ford Racing
and MSD ignition, COMP camshaft and a custom exhaust system with
Flowmaster mufflers. The F-100 sits with Tri-C engineering prepped,
polished and chromed Kugel Komponents full independent suspension
integrated into the truck's custom underpinnings. The Ford turns
with ease thanks to a Kugel Mustang II rack & pinion steering
system and rides on a RideTech ShockWave air spring and shock
absorber system, while Wilwood brakes help bring it to a halt. No
expense was spared on the paint and bodywork as well. Shaved drip
rails and door handles combined with extended rear fenders and
running boards clean up the F-100's mid-section, while an LED third
brake light below the back window combines with a custom rear roll
pan with slotted LED brake lights to underline a custom-built
tailgate. Up front, a forward-tilting hood kit reveals the detailed
and power-packed Ford engine, while a clear polycarbonate bed floor
shows off the detailed rear chassis and independent rear
suspension. Following the body modifications and prep work, the
panels were brought to life with House of Kolor Ultra Orange Pearl
basecoat topped with Ultra Orange Pearl and finished with Egyptian
Gold Pearl flames. A full custom interior matches the deep detail
of the truck's exterior. Soft creme Ferrari leather and suede was
sewn over Glide Engineering seats and sculpted door panels.
Mercedes-Benz tan wool carpet covers the floorboards, while a Genie
shifter and a leather-wrapped steering wheel complement the driving
experience. Vintage Air climate control and a Pioneer APPRadio
contribute to the modern cruising comforts. There is a Viper
alarm/remote start. Though hidden, the truck features
aircraft-style wiring under the seat/dash, which adds to the
craftsmanship. Intro Rally billet wheels, 19-inch front and 20-inch
rear, are mounted on BFGoodrich G-Force Comp 2 tires measuring
P275/40ZR19 in the front and P275/40ZR20 in the rear. Featured in
Motor Trend magazine, Street Trucks, Hot Rod and Muscle Car Review.
