Known as "Super Nova," this Resto-Mod was originally born as a 1967
Chevy II Nova 400 and underwent a no-expense-spared transformation.
The Nova is powered by a 427ci Dart SHP (special high performance)
V8 engine with LS components. The engine was built by Don Hardy
Engines and C&G American Muscle Cars and can produce nearly
700hp. The goal for the engine was to generate as much power as
possible yet still make it streetable, reliable and fun to drive.
Some of the parts and upgrades to the engine include a 4.125 bore,
Diamond pistons, ZL1 heads, Cam Motion camshaft, Dart intake and
exhaust valves, and much more. The engine is mated to a 4L60E
4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Suspension upgrades
include TCI front and rear clips with adjustable coilovers, rack &
pinion steering, Wilwood disc brakes, electric e-brake, Ford 9-inch
rear end with 3.50 gears, new fuel tank and fuel lines. "Super
Nova" is finished in Victory Red that polished to a mirror-like
finish and ceramic-coated. The Chevy rides on 18x8-inch and
19x8-inch Billet Specialties Toploader wheels. Other features
include upgraded headlights, LED taillights, smoothed cowl vent,
custom leather interior, AutoMeter gauges, Vintage Air, a Billet
Specialties steering wheel, custom smoothed dash and Bluetooth
button in glovebox to play Pandora. Completed with just 500 miles
on the drivetrain, it comes with a large file of build receipts and
dyno sheet.
