Vehicle Description
This custom 1972 Ford F-100 named "El Diablo" is powered by a
5.0-liter Coyote engine topped with a Whipple supercharger and
mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The beautifully painted
high-gloss red exterior includes many body modifications, such as
the front clip narrowed 2 inches to line up perfectly with the
hood, the bed widened in front 1 inch to line up with the cab,
custom-fabricated heat extractors in the hood and engine
compartment, auto-lift bed center, tucked front and rear bumpers,
shaved marker lights, welded body seams, custom tailgate with
pulled-out center panel and lettering for a modern flair,
flush-mount glass and hand-fabricated satin aluminum side trim.
Upgraded with Wilwood disc brakes, custom El Diablo machined
calipers, and Intro wheels wrapped with Pirelli tires. The chassis
and frame were hand-fabricated and finished in satin red with
silver for detail and incorporate Currie 9-inch rear end mounted to
a 4-link rear suspension, 4-wheel Airlift custom air ride with
remote mounted compressors and console-mounted controller, and
Heidts front suspension components. The red leather interior was
handcrafted by Recovery Room Upholstery using the finest materials,
creating a stunning yet comfortable appearance. The seat was
created using bucket seat lowers and a bench rear section. The
console is built into the center of the bucket lower section and
slides over the front of the console section, creating a seamless
effect when adjusting the seat. The console cradles the controls
for the Vintage Air air conditioning and heater, transmission floor
shifter and custom billet trim. The tilt steering column holds a
custom leather-wrapped billet steering wheel. The fully custom dash
was smoothed for visual cleanliness and includes custom trim and a
frenched-in early '50-style gauge cluster. Finally, the door
interior panels were created using Mustang-themed components,
including door release levers. El Diablo is very well-known and was
chosen for the Truck of the Year award at Goodguys car show in
2021, Barret-Jackson Cup Top 5 in 2021, Lone Star Throw Down
winner, three magazine covers (along with articles in at least
five) and has been deemed "Best Bump Side Ford truck ever built."
