Vehicle Description
The Zephyr is hailed as advanced in both art deco styling and
construction by the New York Museum of Modern Art, which recognized
the "teardrop" Lincoln Zephyr as the first streamlined car in
America. Few Zephyrs exist today, and this all-steel one-piece body
and frame features the original unitized construction. Known as
"Wonder Kandy," this 1937 underwent comprehensive photo-documented
restoration with many modern amenities added. Powering this Zephyr
is a balanced GM Vortec V8 engine stroked to a 383ci and topped
with an Edelbrock 1406 carburetor. Exhaust flows through
stainless-steel headers and exhaust pipes, and a custom radiator
and custom aluminum 14-gallon fuel tank cool and feed the V8. Power
is routed to the rear wheels via GM Turbo 350 automatic
transmission with B&M Kustom Bandit shift kit with neutral
safety switch and gear reduction starter. Other components include
shaved 6-way adjustable suicide doors with Euro mounts and safety
door lock pins, hand-made running boards, frenched rear license
plate and louvered rear fender skirts. The top was chopped 4 inches
and the fabrication of a custom steel interior console was
completed. Additional features include big disc power brakes,
Detroit Speed-tuned rack & pinion power steering, and independent
rear suspension with a VIAIR Duel 444C air-ride system. The
interior features power seats, power windows, Vintage Air climate
control, an Ididit chrome tilt steering column, custom-cut tinted
safety glass and stitched leather. The interior also features a
custom media/navigation/alarm system that includes a Pioneer
receiver with 7-inch tilt-up display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto,
Bluetooth, SirusXM radio, navigation and infrared rear-vision
camera. The original gauges were restored and converted to a
12-volt system. Sound comes from an industry-leading Memphis Car
Audio MC-5004 125 watts X 4 M-Class AB amplifier, 12-inch
subwoofers and 6.5-inch midrange drivers. Dual Optima batteries are
neatly positioned in the trunk and provide ample power to the
air-ride system, proximity sensor alarm, remote doors and trunk
poppers. The fully custom Lincoln rides on Enkei Performance
machined wheels. Each piece was painted separately and clear
coated, then reassembled, color-sanded and polished in House of
Kolor Apple Red Kandy paint. Finishing off the exterior look are
Racer Innovation 8000K blue/white HID 7-inch bi-xenon headlights,
along with LED brake taillights and turn-signal lights.
