Vehicle Description
This 1941 Willys Americar features an all-steel body and is
completely custom. Powering this Willys is a 540ci V8 engine topped
with an 8:71 BDS supercharger with Hilborn fuel-injection and a
Holley ECU. The big-block Chevy's internals are comprised of a
forged crankshaft, 8.1:1 forged J.E. pistons, SCAT H-beam
connecting rods and a COMP Cams camshaft. The cylinder heads are
from Canfield and feature bronze guides, as well as Crower Enduro
rocker arms and ARP studs. Additional features include a Melling
high-volume oil pump, Edelbrock polished aluminum timing cover,
fabricated valve covers and performance serpentine pulley system. A
Be Cool aluminum radiator with a 1000hp rating works with two
13-inch SPAL fans and Meziere Enterprises electric water pump to
keep the engine at optimal temperatures. Exhaust flows through a
ceramic-coated 4-inch setup. Power is routed through a Turbo 400
automatic transmission with a B&M Shifter, manual valve body
and 2,500 stall converter. Additional driveline components include
a narrowed Ford 9-inch rear end, Detroit Locker with 4.11 gears,
Strange 31-spline axles and 1.562-inch axle bearings. The Willys
rides on an Art Morrison 2x4 profile frame that features tubular
crossmembers as well as a mandrel-bent round tub and drop-out
transmission mount. For suspension the custom Willys features Aldan
American coilovers, an independent front suspension with tubular
upper and lower control arms, Mustang II 2-inch drop spindles and
Mustang II tie rod ends that have been narrowed and chromed. The
rear suspension features fully adjustable QA1 coilovers and a
4-link rear with polished stainless poly rod ends. Stopping power
is provided by Wilwood disc brakes located at all four corners.
Inside amenities include all-leather upholstery, Vintage Air
climate control, power windows, Kenwood monitor with DVD receiver
and Dakota Digital AM/FM electric antenna. **SOLD ON BONDED TITLE**
