Collectible Motorcar of Atlanta is proud to present this 1969
Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS pace car.
Yes, you're looking at a real-deal 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS pace
car. But it's not just code Z11 on the trim tag that makes this one
so desirable. It's a bold car that's correctly presented, and the
V8 power and four-on-the-floor tell you it really wants to be
enjoyed.
The fact that these are perhaps the most outrageous looking of the
'69 Camaros is not an accident. Official pace car replicas have
always been attention-grabbing machines, and for this year they
took one of their most alluring color combos and presented it in an
exclusive way. Dove White with Hugger Orange stripes gives them a
unique look that's recognizable even if you were in the Goodyear
blimp. It all looks clean and complete, but nothing that will make
you too afraid to drive this valued classic. After all, you're
going to want to show this off. It's an icon with desirable
features, including the RS hidden headlights, cowl hood, and the
Hugger Orange pinstripes highlighting the fender lines. Chevrolet
only built 3,675 examples, barely enough to give half of their
dealer network one car.
Beneath the white folding top is the orange houndstooth interior -
a color combo unique to a car with Hugger Orange. This two-tone
cloth sets the tone so nicely. Basically, it serves as a bridge
between the orange on the seat vinyl, door panels, and boot cover,
and it unites them with the darker elements such as the dash and
carpeting. This is why it's such a harmonious style inside and out.
Of course, what you'll really love is the way this is a great
driver's machine. You have a wood-rimmed sports steering wheel on a
tilt column, auxiliary readouts for oil pressure and water temp,
and there's a Hurst shifter coming out of the center console.
Under the hood is Chevy's mighty small block V8. That special
gasket seals to the hood so that you can feed fresh air to the
four-barrel carburetor. The dual exhaust is not an overly
boisterous tone, but just the right amount of V8 tune. And you have
complete control over the power and soundtrack thanks to the
four-speed manual transmission. This is a confident driver that
likes to go for a good classic car cruise. That's why you also have
easy driving features like power steering, power brakes, and front
discs.
This pace car is an irresistible vintage treat that doesn't come
around too often. So, if you promised yourself the best Camaro
around, don't miss this opportunity. Call today!!!
