1970 Buick Riviera 455cid, Unrestored, Low Original Mileage,
Documentation, Drive Anywhere!
LaFontaine Classic Cars presents another rare opportunity to own a
classic, full size, luxury coupe. You don't want to miss out on
this one!
Take a look at this incredible find! A 1970 Buick Riviera Coupe in
beautiful, unrestored condition with its low original mileage and
paperwork to back it up.
The '70 Riviera was in the full size, luxury line-up from Buick.
But in reality, it was actually a combination of luxury and sport
providing all of the power features, smooth ride, and tons of room,
with the horsepower, torque, and performance from the big V8
engine.
This highly optioned beauty is in excellent, original condition and
has only 55000 miles on the clock. Options include power steering,
power brakes, power windows, tilt steering, factory A/C, factory
radio with 8 track sound system, chrome rally wheels, vinyl roof,
rear fender skirts and bucket seats.
Inside is a beautiful stock interior with front buckets and rear
seat covered with the original green vinyl matching the dash,
carpet, door panels and headliner. A rich woodgrain accents the
green throughout the interior providing a luxurious touch
synonymous with Buick. The dash houses the 120mph speedometer front
and center with radio and A/C controls easily at arm's reach.
Power comes from the powerhouse 455 cubic inch engine fed by a
Rochester 4-barrel carburetor pumping out 370 horsepower with an
incredible 510-foot pounds of torque! This is more than enough
power to make this luxury cruiser a blast to drive providing
incredible acceleration when needed, yet quiet and smooth while
cruising down the highway. Transferring all of that torque to the
rear end is the strongest transmission GM offered in 1970, the
Turbo 400 (TH400) 3 speed automatic. It shifts smooth at normal
driving speeds, and firmer when the gas pedal is pressed towards
the floor.
Not only is this Riviera all original, it has the documentation to
support the car from the day it was purchased in La Jolla,
California by an Army General who took meticulous care of it as
seen in the listing's photos.
