The Ford Avanti was one of the most advanced and luxurious
automobiles of its time. Here's your chance to own 1 of only 5
reproduced iconic Avanti sports cars. In 2003 Avanti Motors
acquired copyrights to Avanti and began building a limited supply.
You could option for either Ford or GM platform. These Avantis were
hand-built and assembled from new platforms. This particular one
was the first prototype built and was introduced in the 2004
Chicago Auto Show!
EXTERIOR: The paint still shines like it did in the Chicago Auto
Show back in 2004. It's smooth, glossy, and there are only a couple
small blemishes around the vehicle, including some small paint
chips on the front bumper. It has chrome aluminum wheels with
Avanti center caps, antilock disc brakes and a soft black top that
is still in excellent condition.
INTERIOR: The interior is based on the Mustang with more customized
features. The whole dash is stitched with leather. All the trim has
a carbon fiber graphic applied. It has custom yellow Avanti logo
stitching in the steering wheel, door sills, front seats, and even
the floor mats. This car has been fully detailed. It is very clean
with very little wear throughout the whole car. It has Mach1
premium audio system with a six CD changer, powered convertible
top, power windows, and has power lumbar in the seats. It has a
tilt wheel, cruise control, and auto dimming rearview mirror.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Pop the hood and you'll find the very familiar
4.6L V8 from Ford. It has a nice 260-HP and is mated to an AOD auto
transmission with overdrive. The engine bay is in excellent shape.
With this low mileage, everything appears to be in like new
condition still. There is a custom Avanti Motors Corporation plaque
on top of the intake. This car has been lightly driven and only has
2,530 miles on it!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Even though it's a convertible it has plenty of
trunk space, with or without the top down. It's fully carpeted and
has a spare tire under the floor in the drop down compartment.
UNDERSIDE: This Avanti was kept in Texas, always garaged and under
a car cover when not driven, and it sure shows! Underneath is in
excellent shape and is very clean with factory stickers and paint
markings still on the suspension components and on the starter.
This truly is a show car. The dual stainless exhaust is still in
fantastic shape as well!
