This 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Hardtop Coupe with its original
numbers matching 383 cubic inch High Performance V8 engine and
Pistol Grip-shifted 4-speed awaits you in the MAXmotive Pittsburgh
Showroom. Treated to a thorough, comprehensive restoration, the car
is dazzling in its original Lemon Twist color, with contrasting
painted hood stripes and black vinyl top. The fresh interior is
also black and loaded with a center console and bucket seats, the
Rallye Dash, and Tic Toc Tach. And the sweep second hand smoothly
rotates around the face of the fully functional timepiece. The
Pistol Grip handle connects to a Hurst linkage for quick shifts.
Power flows to a Dana 60 Sure-Grip axle with 4.10 gears for quick
take-offs. Air conditioning was an original factory option on the
car pointing out that this example was a little more refined than
most Road Runners. In addition to the plush center console/bucket
seat interior and Rallye dash, plus power steering and power
brakes, and the hardtop body style itself, it also sports option
code N97 for the Noise Reduction Package. So while the throaty
voice of the High Performance 383 through a dual exhaust system is
delightful, you can also hear the AM/FM radio and the celebrated
Beep-Beep horn. The trunk is in order as well, complete with jack
and spare. The original 1970 Plymouth Belvedere/Satellite
Operator's Manual is included. Collectible in itself, this little
piece of classic literature contains such intriguing information as
advice when "the vehicle is to be used for maximum performance
service (very high speeds or very rapid acceleration)". Those were
the days. An excellent example from the peak of the muscle car era,
MAXmotive is pleased to present this beautiful 1970 Plymouth Road
Runner Hardtop Coupe. See detailed photos at www.maxmotive.com.
