Fresh rotisserie restoration. This one has factory cold air
conditioning too! People love this VW bus. Really, it brings smiles
and joy to everyone that sees it. Other than our movie cars, more
people have been taking pictures next to this than any other car!
It is decked out with all the goodies.- 23 windows, convertible
roof, fold out windshields, cyclops light and 3 row seating. This
is a Brazillian made VW, it is the same as the original German made
23 window bus. I've seen these sell up to 3 times higher than what
we are asking. This will get just as many smiles!
EXTERIOR: This Samba is decked out. It has the famous 23 windows,
two luggage racks with a ladder, a sliding convertible roof with a
wind deflector and cyclops light. Many of the windows pop open
including the two front safari windshields. It has been completely
restored, no signs of rust or damage. The paint is smooth and
glossy. The two tones are broken up with a polished aluminum band
which also enhances the V design in front. The bumpers are painted
smooth and glossy. All the glass is real clear, some of it is new.
All the gaskets around them has been replaced. The convertible roof
is new and functions easily. Mirrors, handles, taillights and the
chrome VW in front all look new. It rides on new radial tires, the
rims are painted and have all new trim.
INTERIOR: Air conditioning, I didn't even know that was an option
until recently. It is brand new inside this camper bus. The entire
inside was gutted, prepped and painted white. The 3 rows of seats
have new cushions and are upholstered to match the exterior. The
door panels are done to match. It has an auxiliary fan, cup holder
basket and a tray below the dash. Overhead it has the fresh air
ventilation system and new visors. Down on the floor it has new
carpet with bound edges. The bench seat folds flat and makes a bed.
Overhead is a new white perforated headliner that stretches front
to back. It also has nice looking curtains at each window with
matching pillows.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 4 cylinder motor was rebuilt. It fires
right up and runs great. It has a factory air conditioning system
that was serviced and blows cold. All the components were restored
too. The alternator, carburetor, distributor look new. I can see a
painted gas tank. The engine bay is all solid metal and is painted
gloss blue. There is a new battery and cables.
UNDERSIDE: The chassis was removed and the body shell was literally
put on a rotisserie jig. The bottom is all metal and painted blue.
The steering and suspension was rebuilt and painted semi gloss
black. Shocks were replaced. Brakes were redone, it has disc in
front. Factory type exhaust was replaced.
