enthusiast ownership. This vehicle is finished in SU Red and
benefits from being completely repainted under current ownership
and has been beautifully maintained following the repaint. This
vehicle has been garage kept during the winter. Powered by a 1.6L
four cylinder engine that sends the power to the rear wheels
through a 5-speed manual transmission. A custom fabricated
stainless steel exhaust gives this Miata the sporty exhaust note
that it deserves. Showing only 64,175 miles this vehicle is just
getting broken in and is ready to provide the next enthusiast with
the same engaging driving experience that the Miata has a
reputation for. Currently equipped with 15 inch aftermarket rims
equipped with hankook tires. Further improving the already stellar
performance of this vehicle is upgraded strut braces which decrease
chassis flex and improve handling. The gray cloth interior of this
vehicle shows minimal wear and is also equipped with an upgraded
head unit. Also equipped on this Miata is cruise control and air
conditioning. This vehicle comes with a factory hardtop, as well as
a black soft top convertible which both show only minor flaws.

The original MX-5, with a standard manual transmission, came with a
1.6 L DOHC inline four-cylinder engine, producing 115hp at 6,500
rpm, and 100lb of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine employs an
electronic fuel injection system using a vane-type air flow meter
and an electronic ignition system with a camshaft angle sensor
instead of a distributor. This engine was specifically designed for
the MX-5 and featured a lightened crankshaft, flywheel, and
aluminum sump with cooling fins. An MX-5 with the optional
automatic transmission had its 1.6L engine tuned to develop peak
torque at lower rpm's to better mate with the automatic
transmission gearing and torque requirements..
