At the conclusion of World War II, US automobile manufacturing began to transition production vehicles back towards civilian use. The Ford Deluxe retained the same overall body style where it left off in 1941 with only some minor changes in grille adjustments, turn signal location and trim designs.
The car presented here is a wonderful example showing a completely stock appearance but has received quite a few enhancements that cater towards performance, drivability and reliability. The car is powered by Fords iconic "Flat Head" V8 engine, 3 speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive. The car has been selectively restored and features a rock-solid beautiful body that features very good panel alignment and fitment.
Vehicle improvements includes: 12 Volt electrical system, alternator, aluminum radiator, electric fan, electric fuel pump, electric wipers, new front-end componentry, 4 inch dropped axle, Posies Super Slide Springs front and rear, front disc brakes, new interior upholstery and trunk kit, 3:25 High Speed rear end, tube shocks front and rear, new bumpers and grille, rear drum brakes, UniLug Smoothie 15 inch wheels, Coker wide whitewall radial tires, new glass, dual exhaust, dual master cylinder, front and rear seatbelts and Blue metallic exterior paint.
Mechanically the car drives very well and can be driven with confidence. At the time of this writing, all the gauges seem to work with the exception of the clock.
