For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu in Norwalk, Connecticut

Vehicle Description

1970 Chevy Chevelle Malibu Sport

Purchased roughly 10 years ago as a cruiser to take out to cruise nights and shows because it wasn't something super special or low mileage, the owner and his brother still couldn't leave well enough alone and they had to make this car their own and bring it up a notch.

Built in Baltimore, we believe it stayed most of it's life in NJ and southern New England. When the brothers bought the car it had recently been restored and upgraded. Although originally a V8 car, it now has a 4 bolt main, Goodwrench/Targetmaster 350, pushing out roughly 300 hp through a set of Jet coated headers into a 3" dual exhaust with crossover pipe.

The Saddle interior was replaced with all black and the Champagne Gold paint was removed and resprayed in the original color.

The brothers added dropped spindles in front, slotted/drilled front disc brakes, new glass front and rear, new mirrors, and the 17"F/18"R American racing 5 spoke mags wrapped with Khumo Ecsta radials in 245/40/ZR17 size up front and 245/40/ZR18 out back.

The brothers also added the steering wheel and SunPro gauges.

Lastly, they had the car color sanded and buffed.

This car is in Mint condition, to coin a phrase. The paint is nearly flawless (I didn't see any flaws but it's possible I missed something very small). Every aspect of this car is high caliber and totally show ready.

The undercarriage is rust free, and rather clean, with the only blemish being a spot on the frame under the brake master cylinder reservoir where some brake fluid dripped and removed the paint.

It also runs and drives awesome. The 3" exhaust has a very low rumble, the chrome tips look good expelling the gasses. The wide tires grip the pavement nicely.. unless under too much stress from the 350, when they tend to smoke up...

Although the interior from the factory was sort of lack luster, the only interior option being tilt wheel, it did have power steering and brakes and a 3 speed automatic transmission with console "aircraft" shifter and bucket seats.

Everything about this car is top notch and although not a $100,000 custom, is indeed a quality build and in stunning condition.

The odometer shows 39,000 miles, however, actual mileage is unknown. The owner figures they've put less than 5000 miles on it over the last 10-12 years of ownership.

The price to take this one off to your own shows is $35,000

Try to build one for that.
