This 1989 Chevrolet Blazer K5 is the comfortable classic 4x4 that
has been given plenty of investments to make it bolder and more
fun. So if you like proper V8 power, a lifted stance, and a unique
style, read on for all the details.
This is from the final years for the big/boxy K5 Blazers. This
design always made them look beefy and dominant. But the last few
also got a unique face. It's a tasteful headlight and grille
package that seemed to make these look wider and more prevailing.
So that already gives this one appeal right from the first
impression. The paint package is a custom two-tone that looks like
it utilizes Chevy's iconic Hugger Orange and intertwines it with
white to give you the kind of nostalgia you'd love on the classic
C10 pickups. It's a quality application that even has a gold
pinstripe, but you don't need to be afraid to take it off-road.
After all, with the lifted suspension and side steps, this one was
made to leave the pavement. And no matter where you go, we like the
extra attitude this one put forward. After all, Hugger Orange was
also a favorite of muscle cars, and this one has the cowl hood and
big dual exhaust tips to give a hint at that history, too.
Inside is a well-done package. For example, the exterior orange
returns on the lower dash, and the exterior pinstripe was almost
like a preview for the rest of the tan inside. You have high-back
bucket seats up front. These have the clean look and are covered in
a comfy cloth. And the fold-down armrest and cup holder center
console make it easy to get comfortable. The rear is also done in a
matching tan cloth, and it provides adult-sized room. Plenty of
family and friends will want to go for a ride thanks to great
features, like the power windows, power locks, an upgraded AM/FM/CD
stereo with USB input, and provisions for R134a air conditioning
(it will need servicing to blow cold again.) The white hardtop is
removable, and a large Blazer means plenty of cargo room and a
large tailgate for sitting. So you know this one is ready for all
your favorite activities.
Under the hood is proper Chevy power. The 350 cubic-inch V8 appears
to be a later replacement motor, and it appears to be surrounded by
newer components, including the hoses. This V8 is built with your
favorite upgrades, like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an
upgraded intake, and long tube headers feeding the dual exhaust.
The two-speed 4x4 transfer case, four-inch suspension lift, and
Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ P3 tires prove the fun doesn't stop when
the pavement ends. And power steering, front disc brakes, and a
three-speed automatic transmission are the kind of things you'll
appreciate even when you're just driving through town.
This has the unique look of a great classic Chevy 4x4. So when you
want capability and style, this is the one. Call today!!!
